Has anyone used engineering bays on their ship yet?

Has anyone used engineering bays on their ship yet? What are there uses?

I haven't found much of a use for the engineering bays other than to make the ship look kinda cool and give your crew something to "work on" while you're strolling through your ship.

Engineering Bay is there to put weapon, spacesuit, and industrial workbenches as well as a research computer on your ship.

Pretty sure the research computer and workbench are from both science and infirmary. There's a second workshop hab which give you all the workbenches.

If there is a single hab that gives all work benches, galley etc. all those you listed above please provided details. I know there are 3x3 habitats, but I just don't have the money in game to figure this all out so far.
