There is some conjecture that NVidua cards might not be using the GPU as much as they should.

Maybe sone folks can test this out and report back. I tried this picking my card and locking max FPS to 60.

Click on NVIDIA Control Panel.

Click on 3D settings > Select Manage 3D settings in the left pane.

Select the Program Settings tab > Choose Starfield from the drop-down list.
Might have to look for the exe.

Now, select a High-performance NVIDIA processor. Basically force your card to be picked.

Save changes and reboot the PC to apply changes.

May not do anything. Maybe folks can try it out and let us know. My game seemed overall smoother.

I didn't notice any difference... I also installed the DSLL mod and honestly, my performance might have even taken a slight hit.

Granted my performance wasn't horrible before ... on the Ultra Preset I would get.

Space 30-50
Cities 30-40

Correct, some may not see any returns - or little - as they could be CPU limited like myself (I'm using an ancient sandybridge-e). The best I can get is a flat 45 fps -- it seems to be the sweet spot on my rig.

I'm using (if it helps):
LOW LATENCY MODE: On
VSYNC MODE: Fast
POWER MANAGEMENT MODE: Maximum
MAX FRAME RATE: 45
