Companion gone after reloading save

Has anyone encountered this? I feel like they always been with me after reload but for some reason they get teleported back to the ship somewhat recently. They only teleport back when I actually go through a loading screen door or fast travelling.

I did check the "crew" and it says they're in the ship. It's a pain when i need them in a firefight or need their extra dialogue. Is this a bug? I hope they patch this or something I can edit, I don't want to start over yet when I have gone far but not too far into the game.

Happens to me also, annoying as hell to have companion present in conversations so you rank your relation with them

Now one of my new companion Heller is gone on the crew list too, took a while before I noticed. I don't think I'm the only one. A bit frustrated as I'm gonna have to restart again...
Reloading a manual save sorta fixed my previous issue but now I got a new one...
Earlier my companion(Sarah) won't move too. Noticed soon enough so only 2 saves back.

Really gets in my nerves, No wonder people are annoyed or mad.

Yes, this is happening with me and Andreja, every time I open the game or reload she teleports back to the ship, even when dismissed, she'll go to the lodge until I reload. Anyone know how to deal with this?

Only thing I did was reload to an earlier save and it fixed it for the time being
Hopefully you made manual saves and haven't gone too far in the game.
I blasted my way through the mission and dialogue to get back the 8 hours I lost through reloading a save. Nothing from Bethesda yet so yeah...

I had the same problem but with a non core NPC. I kind of forgot about them and found them on the crew list after a few hours of play.

It is not the only bug. I have a ship that I can no longer use after the latest update.

After loading a save and they're not there, if you go up or down a lift (and probably through a door that results in a loading screen), they appear again.
