im not gonna wish for the death of bethesda like some people seem to do these days when they dont get their own way, but it is a tad annoying.
the only other issue ive come across is i once had an entire stockpile of ammo just magically disappear from my inventory- this happened by switching to and from different weapons in new atlantis, not sure if its a known bug and not sure if that was the trigger.
Overall though this is far less buggy than Skyrim or FO 4 were at launch. In Skyrim I had about 10 Louis Letrusch characters outside the Whiterun Inn. I had a quest to talk to the leader of one of the factions that would not go away and yet I had no interactions with him. I had the one where you were supposed to get some fancy weapon from an area and the weapon was there but non interactive. In FO 4 I saw a mutant floating in the air perpendicular to the ground and all kinds of weird glitches related to cleaning up the neighborhood and crafting. I don't remember specific quest glitches in it. Skyrim was the worst for quests not working.
To this day I still can't get all my quests to work in Skyrim. The stupid lady I want to marry (the village where the spider cave is) completely glitched out. She isn't in the death room and her ID isn't even in the game anymore. No clue what happened. The spiders still trigger when they should not, kill NPCs and then the NPC is invisible and/or trigger twice and mess everything up. That quest is still bugged.
Right now with Starfield my theory is it's a memory leak, because sure enough a few hours in and bam the CTD run starts. I have to reboot the PC completely and then, if lucky, get another hour or so before CTD central again.
Glad to hear it's working well for you, alas not the same here.
Same here. In the beginning it was fine, but once you got deeper in the game Ive experienced crashes and freezes. Really got worse right at the 50-60 hour mark otherwise it ran well.
Everything else runs fine, including other new/launch titles, the game crashes to a fully functioning desktop (no BSOD or system hang) hardware temps are all good, it's a software issue and that software is Starfield. I have a decent system which runs everything else, no problem.
I'm sorry to hear that I hope it resolves for you. I have heard doing a file check in steam can help
Many thanks - I'll give that a shot.
