this! the soundtrack is always on point.
But i still remember Jeremy Soule's Morrowind and Skyrim music and it's on repeat in my head most of the time.
Thank you so much. Geoff Knorr, i know that name from somewhere..
He did the OST from Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim
He has tons of OSTs to play in the background
Inon Zur messed up though when all the combat tracks are boring in starfield.
When you are in combat, you shouldn't feel "bored". It's not even the gameplays fault, it's 100% on the soundtrack.
Ok, i admit the ai is really bad, but if we had a good combat track to pair it with, it wouldn't be that bad.
don't rely on in-game music. only game i can think of where in-game music is good, is GTA 3+ series. in shooter and exploration games i always disable music, because it's either distracting or annoying. for example in shooters you won't be able to hear footsteps or other enemy noises, which leaves you vulnerable.
if i want music, i press the "play" button on my hotkey keyboard. i can play online radios or my own music (got about 20gb of music), i can swap between radios and tracks using hotkeys. really simple. no need to minimize or anything. you can also make suitable playlists for certain games. if you play some exploration game and want some relax soundtracks, then make a playlist with certain tracks.
also devs have to think about copyright issues, they can't just put any music into game. they either have to get a license or make their own, this is not easy process. music licenses can cost a lot for commercial companies. i imagine GTA devs have put huge amount of money into licensed music. same reason why GTA doesn't have licensed cars, because it would cost them millions to get license to use them .. same for other brands aswell (like coca-cola ..etc, that's why they use their own names).
Really surprised they'd do that much reusing.
They didn't alienate Jeremy Soule. A selfish evil woman came out and lied saying he r&&ed her. Jeremy Soule was immediately fired from Elder Scrolls 6 after that.
No. It's just very much a lie.
Nexus sucks.
