Earth........really?

I just got a quest that sent me to earth, to a point of interest. From what i gather there are multiple "hidden" quests for multiple points of interests.

The rest of the planet is a barren desert with rocks. No ruins, NOTHING except for some point of interests that somehow surviveved while everything else was turned into rock and sands

I can AGREE that in reality most planets are barren and devoid of life, so 1000 barren planets.......ok, i can live with that

But the single most important planet, the one 99% of people will visit, to be so poorly made, no effort, just a procedural wasteland is really disappointing

They could ahve made 999 planets procedurally generated, baren wastelands......but the single planet earth......they should have put a little effort in that...and they didn't

This is a HUGE black mark on this game.....something maybe some modders will fix but.....very very disappointing

There are ruins on Earth. But most of it is barren desert because it is part of main quest and the lore of what happened in the 2150-2200

I thought Earth was desolate because of the giant Meteor impact crater you find and have to scan the 3 chunks of it, Does this quest say otherwise and Who hands it out?

It is part of this game's lore. It tells you what happened to Earth.

because everything is buried under snow dont you read the lore? there were pole shifts and the atmosphere leaked out into space which pretty much made that movie The Day After Tomorrow true where the whole world went under water then froze...thats what happend to Earth and why there are no buildings besides the really really tall ones. Wouldve been awesome to goto Mt Everest

I've seen someone say that somewhere else too. But I could absolutely not find what they were talking about. I think it must be hidden behind some OTHER quest that you have to do first.

i think he means the starting quest to UC Faction where they tell you the history ? idk

There are two ways to learn what happened to Earth - go to UC Vanguard office and learn through their history exhibit and second is play the main quest through and then there will be quest that sends you to Earth directly, to ruins of NASA museum where it all also is revealed. The second, NASA one is more detailed one though

That's a helpful answer. I didn't do UC faction quests which is why I didn't find the History one. Thank you.

Makes sense that UC faction would do the History lesson.

Everyone saying the lore has provided what happens to Earth. Do you really think that kind of excuses can cover the sloppiness within the game world design?
