My Fix for the constant crashing
I attempted various solutions, but only one proved effective:

Reducing the GPU clock speed by 50 MHz below the default, and lowering the memory clock by 100 MHz seemed to resolve the issue for me.

I haven't encountered any problems with standard clock speeds while playing other games like Cyberpunk 2077. It appears that the Nvidia driver may be causing instability specifically for this game.

Here are my system specifications:

CPU: Intel Core i9-9900k
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
RAM: 32GB
Storage: 1TB NVMe drive

I was having crashing problems too 5800x with a 1080ti and it turns out FSR was the problem. Turned off FSR and the crashing issues stopped. Just got done a 15hour play session and not one crash.

I have had a few crashes on fast travels or when going through doors.
My guess is for me its related to that auto save feature.

Have you monitored your temperatures? If underclocking fixes the issue then it implies heavily your system is causing the crashes. The argument that 'x' game doesn't have the issue doesn't really work since every game will stress a system uniquely.

And here I thought FSR was for Amd only..

It's great to hear that turning off FSR solved the crashing problem for Danyel. However, in my case, I tried various suggestions found on the internet over the last few days, but the only thing that worked for me was down-clocking the GPU.

I've been monitoring my temperatures, and they have stayed at around 75°C. Interestingly, I haven't encountered any issues with many other games, including VR games that put a much higher demand on the GPU. After three days of troubleshooting, down-clocking the GPU remains the only effective solution for me.

Which temperatures are you monitoring and clarify 'stayed at around 75'. Are you seeing spikes?

Well, a game crashing vs running poorly are two completely different things.

Then you likely have a GPU-cooling problem. I had some issues like that a couple of years ago. My solution was to just buy a whole new computer as my CPU was just an i7-6700K and there were some other issues such as a too-small SSD and an HDD that was getting cranky.

Your low-effort smart-*** answer or not, he's probably got hardware problems and this game is likely exposing them. But thanks for your worthless contribution.

Running the game at 3840/2160 on Ultra but have lesser card then you have. Rtx 2070 Super. No crashes so far

thanks for sharing a different fix will try it after work because i never touched the memory clock speed only power and no declocking above 5 with msi afterburner in systemtray

Step 1: Disable VRS
Step 2: install the mod called Remove Shadows and GTAO from Nexus
Step 3: ???
Step 4: profit
