How do you guys think Todd Howard feels about this? Because his own game is getting absolutely walloped in sales and player count...

Why? Because there ain't no passion, my brothers. Just Emil writing the same "damn bro I know I just met you but here's my expensive piece of machinery, you're the chosen one, we need you, go clear out that camp" like don't y'all want better than this in an RPG?

I genuinely wonder if he plays through his own games and like, pretends to be moved by the story or just feels comfortable settling for the mediocrity.

Baldur's Gate is a truly remarkable shining achievement in gaming. This? After all the bad blood Bethesda has built, I'm honestly shocked it had as much hype as it did- and now look at what we got. The same outdated engine limitations we've had for over a decade.

It's time to rise up as consumers and demand better. Thank you, Larian Studios.

Starfield had over 1 million concurrent players on PC/XBOX. It's Bethesdas biggest launch yet with 6 million players within just the first few days. The game is doing great and Todd knows it.

I don't have much faith in BGS evolving much (esp in the writing/storytelling) while Amil is their and always either lead writer or game designer. Just search youtube for his presentation on storytelling in games. He thinks all of us that play the games from his studio are to dumb to bother making a compelling story for basically. And his mantra for writing for games is "KISS" also known as "keep it simple stupid".

I've seen the "body type" thing before BG3 lol. It was not the first game to do that by a long shot. I can't remember specific titles off the top of my head because I honestly just don't care one way or the other about that. If you don't believe me that's fine with me, but a few second google search will confirm that I have no doubt.

As for what Todd thinks. Regardless of my or any persons opinion of the game I'm sure it sold quite well. Just by being the first new BGS game in so long. Course he's been a millionaire for quite a while I'd imagine. I honestly doubt he cares about much more than the sales figures. Esp since they aren't inexpedient anymore. Don't want to make Microsoft start questioning that nearly $8 Billion they paid for Zenimax.

Oh honey they tried to "go woke go broke" BG3 but got viciously mocked for it and ran the ♥♥♥♥ out of the discussion because the overwhelmingly vast majority of people in the mainstream outside of far-right echo chambers and social bubbles support LGBTQ+ and GNC people.

"Go woke go broke" gets said about literally everything so that when eventually something DOES fail they can go "HAHA SEE LOOK WE WERE RIGHT" like a broken clock.
