Is there anywhere that you can sell stolen property? Somehow the damn terminal knows something was stolen even though I've never been caught.

I had a ton of stolen and contraband taken from me and just after that I noticed that you can hail other ships and sell to them... just look for Trade Authority

You have to go to the trade authority building and talk to the person, not the kiosk that is near the landing pad. Just experienced the same thing in Akilla city myself. They don't show up to sell at the Kiosk, but they do when I go to the building to do it.
