“In Memoriam” Can’t talk to Sona

In the side quest “In Memoriam” I can’t talk to Sona in The Lodge. She just says some default text about “being ok” and telling me “To do what you need to do”. But that doesn’t count as talking to her. I’ve tried restarting the game, reloading a save before I entered The Lodge, verifying game files and nothing has worked. Has anyone had this problem and if you have how did you fix it? All ideas welcome.

I had the same prob . You have to wait til the funeral of either Sam or Sarah is finished . After that you can talk to Sona !

@suenami I hope that works, I’ll try it tonight when I get home. Tried all my quick and auto saves but she won’t talk to me either and I don’t want to have to redo 4hrs of gameplay from when I started the quest. But I also haven’t waited for the funeral so hopefully that fixes it.

Yup, this worked for me.

Yeah it worked for me too! The person who died on my run was Andreja… Seems it could be a sequence of things that contributes to which npc dies during the mission prior to them dying. On this note, complete the funeral and you should be able to speak to Sona. (Not a glitch)

Good stuff all,

each time I visit the Lodge I always go and speak to Sona strictly from a RP standpoint. But I never noticed the Activity did not become satisfied until after the companion funeral. Then again I don't make it a point to clear up my activity log. Now I know.

I'd agree not a glitch, just poor planning unfortunately.

They're basically conversations you're supposed to have after the funeral, in my case it was Barret, when I would chat he'd say "nothing more to share right now", so I just assumed he wanted to talk afterwards, & I was correct. They all have unique things to say at the funeral, as well as after it, generally you can take your time with them wanting to chat, they'll remind you as you're out & about.
