Ryujin Quest Spoiler. Internal Question.

So I finished the quest line and was disappointed in one thing.

They removed the internal neuro amp.
I’m debating loading the save file and not completing the quest, since I don’t know if a new office with infinite storage and missions are worth losing a manipulation device.

Is there a way to get it back?

I can kill enemies easily so far, and I don’t really need to use social abilities, but I like collecting useful unique items. My Manipulation is at level 2 or 3. But the neuro amp seemed to increase it further, so I’d like to have that option.

The device is implanted into you via surgery and cannot be removed (I think). The message telling you about the removed neuro amp is about the prototype you stole from the competing corp.
I do not know if they let you keep it if you prevent the further use of the device during the follow-up quest, I lobbied for using it.

Pretty sure you dont even need the neuro amp if you unlock the manipulation skill in the skill tree it has the same benefits. All the ryugin quest does is give you 1 point in that skill which cant be removed.

Yeah, this is the prototype you just stole being turned in, not the prototype they installed.

I had the same moment of confusion when this happened. They should really rename it. Maybe 'Infinity LTD prototype' or 'stolen internal neuroamp prototype'. To be fair, the name is a little long.

You still keep it if you lobbied against it. I manipulated the board into voting against it to prove a point.

Thank you for clarifying that. Reddit post said the same thing.

I didn't know which was the item I stole, so when I saw a notification that it was removed, I figured it was the one they implanted. I considered doing a NG+ where I moved on before returning it to see if it kept the one in my head with the buff.

What I wanna know is how the hell Sarah and Andreja found out? The operation and the tech were entirely secret, they never went on any missions, so would have zero idea I was even involved. How would they even know to start questioning me about it? Let's assume they do have a problem with that kind of power tech - but that brings up the obvious internal bug they installed to track my every movement and decision - and that makes them qualified to complain? Yet zero complaints about the super powers I have been grabbing up - just what it might do to me after entering the Unity, not before?

Is this more woke BS attempting to manipulate me, in a f'ing game of all things?

...and after all the hand wringing and whinging and sobs of 'what about the children?!' from them, I'm still able to flirt with and remain married to Sarah....makes no damn sense game wise.
