Linux Vulkan shaders processing almost every start up.
So almost every time I start up starfield I have to "process vulkan shaders" it gives me the option to skip it, but once the game starts it continues to process shaders. I cant even get into the menu before its done. Sometimes this process takes 5 mins, sometimes it takes 20mins. My card is barely doing anything, typically about 50-70watts the whole time. I have 3090ti, I feel like I could process them on the fly if need be, but also it shouldnt take 20 minutes.

Its not really an issue Im looking to fix, but if anyone knows one Im all ears/eyes. Im mostly wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

I think its likely due to an update in proton experimental that causes it to re-do them.

Strange. With an AMD card, the game only did this at the first start, and it only took about 1 or 2 minutes.

AFAIK there should be a .nv folder for shader cache in your home directory. But it can be a storage space limitation. See this discussion about per game shader cache: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/forum/topic/3501/
