How the hell did Bethesda think it'd be a good idea making this game without any land vehicles???
Did no one play-testing the game ever stopped to think, "Hey, this game is pretty boring when I have to keep sprinting across 1000 meters of plain nothingness across a planet to get from point A to point B". Or something like, "Isn't it kinda stupid and unrealistic for people to all be running around planets without some sort of vehicle for traversal?"

I understand you, Bethesda, if you really cant implement vehicles 'cos your engine is one outdated piece of garbage trash still stuck with ancient Morrowind technology. But at least provide SOME DAMN ALTERNATIVE??? What's the point of having jetpacks when they're miserably short-lived and slow AF? What's the point of putting the POIs on a planet so bloody far apart if players can only run/walk on foot everywhere? Is Bethesda even building a game anymore or some unfinished trash just waiting to be refined by modders?

Apart from this complaint, I do love this game. I dont care so much about the loading screens. I dont have much performance issues either. The rest of the gameplay is fine/okay-ish.

But from what I've seen, my point about the lack of land vehicles is universally agreed by everyone, even the biggest Bethesda fanboys. It's just so dumb, nonsensical, senseless and ridiculous to design the game like this without a damn vehicle for traversal.

I bet they will 'figure out' how to do vehicles or mounts in one of the DLCs

If they cant do it in the vanilla game, I 100% doubt so. And even if they do so, that's just bloody stupid and wouldn't make sense lore-wise at all. Will the player then be the only one driving around in a land vehicle all of sudden? Nothing makes sense.

They can't even implement the damn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechs even though they implemented power armor frames in FO4. It's like Bethesda took one step forward by repainting this game in 4K textures thinking they'll fool people to think it's a next-gen game, but then take two steps back in everything else cos they're actually still using the same old ancient game engine that's hot crap as usual

The creation engine literally can not make land vehicles. It was never designed too. The game engine they use for all their games is a decade behind other engines at least.

Stop sprinting and start leaping. You cover more ground leaping because of lower G's.

And it also looks ridiculous as hell bunny hopping everywhere. No thanks.

Then at least make the jetpacks useful then. Make the jetpacks as useful as in Anthem or Just Cause 3 (not as fast but fast enough).

But they didn't. Nope.

Bethesda was so smart they decided to make the jetpack usage last half a millisecond each time you press the button. Amazing.

no, you don't The low G in fact makes you slower instead when you jump. You traverse more ground on a planet like Mars when you run instead of jump like a jack rabbit stuck at 0.5x speed

They didn't include it because it would make the maps feel much smaller than they are and people would complain even more.

It's a game design choice...

OP, after you beat the game once, you get a couple of "gifts." One of which makes ground vehicles not need.

One way to avoid those hassles is using a saved game from the net that loads you right into a city or settlement. There aren't many of those saves but at least the one I got from Nexus mods loaded me into New Atlantis.

cuz you are running press sprint button and jump you will maintain the same speed while flying in the air

No, it wouldn't. Everyone is just sprinting to the POIs anyway. Who the hell ever walks at normal pace to the POIs? Walking across a barren wasteland planet of an utter nothingness copy+pasted procedurally generated landscape? It'd take you a good 30 minutes or something just to walk to and fro.

If you're still at the same speed in the air then what's the diff lol
