Remember Commander Shepard?

You know why i remember Shepard so well?
Because he had a proper introduction.

Recently a lot of games sleep on that to introduce the avatar the player takes control over.

Anyone else knows games with proper character introduction?
Horizon Zero dawn comes to my mind as well.

Shepard is also the protagonist of a trilogy of mostly linear games, while this game allows you to basically carve your own path in many ways.

A pre-written character is more memorable, a player created character creates a better connection.

That's the problem fo4 had that all their other games had. They basically put a shepard in a world where players expected choice.
