Yup I know. The small landing pad is for ships that don't exceed 40 meters in length. The Landing pad w/ the ship builder (the biggest pad) is for everything else.
My ship is 74 meters in length and should fit just fine on the large pad, like it does at my other outposts, but for some reason it won't on this one.
Just got home for the day and I plan on trying a few different things. One of the ideas I had is place a new outpost beacon and play the large ship pad first. Travel out to space and then land at outpost to see if that works.
If it does, we'll go from there I guess
My large landing pad with ship builder terminal is exactly on the original "Landing Zone (explored)" from which i then built the outpost buildings at the edge of that area. The large LP with ship builder is fully within the boundary set by the outpost Pokeball antenna.
My ship ( a slightly extended Razorleaf from the Mantis mission) refuses to land on the large LP ... and now I think about it, it refused to land on the original Landing Zone (explored) before I built the large LP & builder and always dropped onto a new/2nd Landing Zone (explored) 400 metres away. No matter what I try, the ship always goes to that 2nd LZ(explored). It is very frustrating given the cost of building the LP+builder.
Is it a bug?
So the first time it lands after creating the outpost it lands outside the radius of the outpost and will do so until you build a landing pad.
I've actually never been able to land my ship at one of my landing pads, even though my ships are smaller than 40x40, and I use only the large landing pads that allow up to 80x80.
Then there's resource deposits disappearing. Real fun when painstakingly running for miles trying to find that sweet spot with that one extra deposit. Really makes you think about how futile mostly everything you do in this game actually is.
I have four outposts in total, all 4 have the large landing pad with ship builder. 3 out of those 4, my ship lands where its suppose to, inside the outpost on the pad. The last outpost, for whatever reason, my ship lands 200m away, everytime.
Multiple times
I try to stay on the positives lol. The bugs are rough, especially with systems that you could spend hours on, such as outposts. But I'm always trying to keep moving forward hoping the next day comes that big bug fixing patch lol
bugs are stupid, stable workarounds are clever :) does this work with small landing pads? can anyone previously having the problem confirm if this works? ran into this problem on my first outpost, just a place to dump cargo without getting encumbered.. turned out to be a game breaker for me :( ship is only 24m :/
