Ship not landing at the pad for outposts
So my ship isn't landing at my outpost. I have the pad with the ship builder (biggest one) but it wont land. It will land perfectly fine at my other outposts, but not my newest one. Unsure how to fix or if it can be fixed.

Things I've tried:
Flying into orbit above planet instead of fast traveling doesn't work.

Trying to reset my ship size by making it a little longer, then flying it, then reducing to original size didn't work.

Landing pad isn't near the border of the outpost circle in the slightest, infact its in the dead center.

*****POSSIBLE FIX*****

I have no confirmed this by doing it on another planet, but this is what I did.

1. Went to Kumasi II and landed, placed an Outpost and a LARGE landing pad w/ shipbuilder.
2. Got back into cockpit and took off for space (pay attention, I took off, didn't fast travel anywhere, idk if it matters)
3. Chose a new landing spot far away from the first one
4. Repeated steps Two & Three, 3 more times.
5. Chose to land out my outpost to see if it worked and when I loaded in, my ship was on the landing pad.

NOW i do not know if you need to do steps 2-3, when I initially had issues and was trying to problem solve, nothing worked and chalked it up as a bugged planet. BUT hey, this is what I did and it worked

I think the basic ship landing pad is only for smaller ships, once you get past a certain size, it might require the other one(with ship builder options). Need to tinker with this myself.

Yup I know. The small landing pad is for ships that don't exceed 40 meters in length. The Landing pad w/ the ship builder (the biggest pad) is for everything else.

My ship is 74 meters in length and should fit just fine on the large pad, like it does at my other outposts, but for some reason it won't on this one.

try a few different spots in the radius or an whole new outpost far away just for science then reload your mats back

Just got home for the day and I plan on trying a few different things. One of the ideas I had is place a new outpost beacon and play the large ship pad first. Travel out to space and then land at outpost to see if that works.

If it does, we'll go from there I guess

I have exactly the same problem as the OP.

My large landing pad with ship builder terminal is exactly on the original "Landing Zone (explored)" from which i then built the outpost buildings at the edge of that area. The large LP with ship builder is fully within the boundary set by the outpost Pokeball antenna.
My ship ( a slightly extended Razorleaf from the Mantis mission) refuses to land on the large LP ... and now I think about it, it refused to land on the original Landing Zone (explored) before I built the large LP & builder and always dropped onto a new/2nd Landing Zone (explored) 400 metres away. No matter what I try, the ship always goes to that 2nd LZ(explored). It is very frustrating given the cost of building the LP+builder.

Is it a bug?

Is there a beacon that is required for that type of ship to land at that pad?

I've not seen a beacon of any type in the base builder menus - there's only the outpost beacon that you deploy from the hand scanner to start the outpost.

I think that it is intended like that. So that you can build your base without being blocked by your ship.
So the first time it lands after creating the outpost it lands outside the radius of the outpost and will do so until you build a landing pad.

Have you tried deleting or moving the large pad?

You'll notice a lot of outpost functions don't work as intended.
I've actually never been able to land my ship at one of my landing pads, even though my ships are smaller than 40x40, and I use only the large landing pads that allow up to 80x80.

Then there's resource deposits disappearing. Real fun when painstakingly running for miles trying to find that sweet spot with that one extra deposit. Really makes you think about how futile mostly everything you do in this game actually is.

No, there the only thing that has to be built is the correct landing pad.

I have four outposts in total, all 4 have the large landing pad with ship builder. 3 out of those 4, my ship lands where its suppose to, inside the outpost on the pad. The last outpost, for whatever reason, my ship lands 200m away, everytime.

I try to stay on the positives lol. The bugs are rough, especially with systems that you could spend hours on, such as outposts. But I'm always trying to keep moving forward hoping the next day comes that big bug fixing patch lol

If you have a landing area near the outpost, you'd need to make 3 more landing areas far away from the outpost for your ship to actually land in the outpost itself, it's stupid, i know

bugs are stupid, stable workarounds are clever :) does this work with small landing pads? can anyone previously having the problem confirm if this works? ran into this problem on my first outpost, just a place to dump cargo without getting encumbered.. turned out to be a game breaker for me :( ship is only 24m :/

It should work with any landing pad as long as your ship follows the size limit of the landing pads itself
