Earth is a Desert Planet ....really? and some other cons
yesterday i landed on Earth in the Sol System . its a Desert planet without any Buildings . i thought itwould be looking like Fallout or something . something fun to exlpore from the old World but nothing o.O

Starfield is a okish Game but there are some issues which bothers me :

-imersion only in English ... the German synchro is terrible and not lip sync
-npc or your helper always stand infront of you damn weapon ... really?
- KI is maybe from Fallout 3 or not there xD
-no nvidia dlss from start , only with mods
- no easy way to on and off the helmet ... sometimes you dont even know if you have it on only when you get damage ....why not a button to get it on ?!?
-planets are big but not soo much to explore and no vehicle to use on planets
-no really flying to the planet just a cutscene and a loading screen ... kills a little bit the immesion * even NMS can do that xD *
-exploring its a little bit like NMS but not so easy ... with some animals you have to wait until they sleep .. you cant scan them when they walking next to you ?!? logic ?
- the weight problem is still in all Bethesda games ... its more like a middle thing . you have to manage what you want to take with you . also there will be mods

so far i played 6 hours and i like it but there are some thing wich makes me loose the immersion

Yeah, I visited London mark and it was only a single big obelisk-like tower there.

And you have to play questlines to learn what exactly caused Earth to lose its atmo
They literally explain this in the intro movie of the game
There was an intro movie ?:KOh:
Earth is a missed opportunity.

They could of atleast had some secret underground facilities that survived or something.
You should really read the lore or take the history lesson (quest) at vanguard/UC headquarter...

Well the gane did just come out and has no DLC this will be there cash cow for a very long time the dlc coming out is apparently rather big so there's always hope for more things happening to earth.
These Global Warming fear mongers push for a complete collapse of the planet something like that. I mainly worse about is easy energy and usable metal. Do not worry about water.

"Our planet is also very efficient at keeping this water. Water, as a vapor in our atmosphere, could potentially escape into space from Earth. But the water doesn't escape because certain regions of the atmosphere are extremely cold."

Most of the water that has left our planet has been in space missions. If we were to leave the planet then we might take huge amounts of water in Generation ship BUT!!! Many solar systems have water in asteroids belts.

I really quite enjoy Earth in this game, it's the first space game to actually make it landable. Let's be real, no one will ever make it look like google maps unless it's a flight sim like MSFS.

Bethesda doesn't have time to focus all their efforts on 1 planet so they did they best they could and it's exactly what I expected, a barren planet with a few landmarks.

Elite Dangerous didn't even try and put up an invisible box around Earth in their game, and every other space game like NMS, Eve, Star Citizen wont even include the Sol system which is a real disappointment.

Star Citizen already has the techology to build an entire city planet, (Arccorp), also there are a bunch of concept arts about how Earth will look like and they are fully intending to do it properly.

Star Citizen is also game that trying to be perfect & will still most likely be in alpha 10years from now but at least Star Citizen runs better than Starfield with native resolutions lol no joke I get better performance with Star Citizen at max settings.

You should have put ''when'' in caps, ''if'' in brackets. I play and enjoy both. One is a simulator and focuses on accuracy with insanely slow progress. The other is not and out already.
I figured it out. Earth in Skunkfield is a visual metaphor for the plot line of the game.

DLC, Mods . . . there might be more there 'under the covers,' that we'll find once the esm is decoded and xedit is working, or the CK comes out.
DLC = nope. I don't think I'll ever spend another nickel on a Bethesda game following this procedurally generated no plot bowl of turd stew.
Earth got destroyed, they signed a deal with AMD, NMS that is all it does literally it sucks ass at everything else. Borring as hell game in long run sigh
I wish earth wasn't destroyed or just had more

Realistically there would be more on there except one tower in the middle of nothing and no signs of preserving plants or animals

I keep hoping there is a mention of a vault with embryos or a zoo and garden for plants and animals to preserve them.

Though like the fact that somehow in cities only one giant tower stands and nothing else, I think this is just an oversight, and one I hope they fix.

I'd love to go to an alternate universe in game via the unity where we can find earth in tact, that or rebuild earth, or make a new earth somewhere else.

Though I am almost certain that the only reason earth is destroyed is so they don't need to render all the cities, animals, and such. Though I'd prefer they just make it a wilderness and not a desert.

It was a neat twist that it was the grav drive experiments that caused earth to be destroyed though

Bye bye, yo won´t be missed...

I would pay for having a true post-Earth. Even without spoilers, we all can see that Earth atmosphere got rekt. Thats "fine", but that would mean everyting on Earth got into a void space, so it should be preserved (albeit frozen). I could understand if we can´t see every town, but at least the "most advanced" ones shoud still be ruins to visit and loot.

Maybe modders can fix Earth and we get a few ruined city areas one by one.

Though I'm also in the camp where I wish Bethesda had detailed those things themselves.
