We should be expecting at least these pretty soon. Built-in mods and Creation Club next year.
Agreed about DirectStorage, but I don't think it was built with that in mind. The way that the navigation works and the fact we don't have fully open space exploration (being restricted to orbits that function essentially as maps) is probably where one of the Creation engine's fundamental limitations are going to show.
btw download "Starfield Frame Generation" mod - it works amazing as it is. DLSS-G here on my RTX 4080 playing 1080p/full ultra settings/144 fps solid
You're nuts! You play games directly off your NAS? It's worse than even HDD loading times. Either you don't play much or you have the patience of a saint/extreme nostalgia for the PS2 days or something.
Yeah, that's a more specialized setup, I can see it working for some games, but on a regular configuration with a gigabit network, it's not gonna be enough, even if the host has NVMe storage.
This game is completely incompatible with HDDs (it'll have streaming, audio and desync issues even on the very highest performance models), so there's a big hint.
