The complete erasure of Femininity
EDIT; For ♥♥♥♥'s sake, I am not talking about sexuality. I am talking about femininity which according to the politics Bethesda themselves raises, also applies to feminine men and transwomen. I literally state this in the original second paragraph of this post, but people are literally incapable of even reading that far down.

I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about pronouns. I don't care about options I don't have to choose. But they seem pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meaningless when everyone, Male, Female, and Non-Binary, all just dresses in the same masculine fashion.
There's no good feminine outfits. There's no good feminine hairstyles. There's no capacity to be cute. There's no way to express yourself. The nightclub in Neon? Everyone looks like they're dressed for a day at the office. Who the hell wears baggy pants with a skirt?

And the stupidest thing? Well, if you're about to start crying at me about wanting to have bikini armour, crying to me about being some sort of misogynistic dinosaur or some crap; Fashion is hugely important in the queer community. That's the stupidest thing. This agendering of women, transwomen, and even just feminine men, doesn't appeal to the right wing, and it doesn't appeal to the left wing.
It doesn't appeal to anybody.

This is just Bethesda being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cowards, trying to duck out of the debate entirely.
Cyberpunk should have been the guide. Conservative outfits, sexual outfits, cute outfits, masculine outfits, FEMININE outfits. And they can be worn by literally everyone because the whole point about gender roles isn't about destroying all roles except the most sanitized and safe role, IT'S ABOUT OPENING ALL THE ROLES TO EVERYONE.

Honestly, I don't even have a big interest in the politics of this stuff. I'm not highly focused on these issues, I don't educate myself in the nitty-gritty of the gender debates. So it's pretty spectacular that I UNDERSTAND THIS WHOLE DEAL A LOT BETTER THAN BETHESDA WHO SHOULD HAVE MADE IT A POINT TO ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE POINT THEY'RE TRYING TO MAKE.
Because the erasure of Femininity is a point they consciously made. And it's an insult to EVERYONE.

Explain to me how I'm wrong.

Has to be another one of Andrew Tate's sock puppet accounts. Although I have to give sort of props to Andrew for the ironic account name.

Sorry sorry, they forgot the feminine space suits so you could jack it to skin exposed dying women out on a planet with dangerous atmosphere or just no ******* oxygen. :momoyawn:

+1 I swear the clothing designs were made by a nun. Nothing even remotely cute or sexy at all.

This game had enough Epic Salty Groaners to last a lifetime already.

I'm not talking about the space suits, I'm talking about the regular outfits. The under-the-spacesuit apparel.

When I'm on a colonized planet and literally everyone is the same asexual blob, it just feels boring and sterile. Fashion is a huge part of identity. And identity is incredibly important to left wing politics. The whole point was about pushing new identities to the forefront, and letting people be who they want to be and not what society says. It's a massive damn part.

The women's hair options are absolutely tragic, unless you always wanted to be a Fallout raider in space.

Good take. Things should be more open and care free. Immersion wise it would have felt more cohesive, because even in the real world you see all types of looks no matter the function. I think really it's an unspoken war on beauty. No one can be beautiful or sexy. Everyone is average or below in so many iterations over the years, not just here.

Hair in Bethesda RPGs are always mediocre and largely unisex. This is not new.

A lot of the settler outfits I find to be quite feminine, as are many of the neon city options.

The bodies in BGS games have been pretty bland since Fallout 3.
Not overly accentuating and not too generic.

There's a reason why there's dozens of body mods for each and every BGS game.

Uh, no.
none of the people you're thinking of, are left wing.
