Sarah Morgan is an Annoying Nag
I literally can't have any fun when she is around beyond acting like Space Jesus.

When you first meet her she says "I understand if you need to do some illegal stuff as long as it furthers the mission, some of us come from shady backgrounds and have spent time in jail."

As soon as I pick up a sandwich. "PUT THAT BACK!" *Disliked*

Ok uhhh, oh hey look it's my old coworker and he's in trouble let me help him but ill bust his chops a bit because I like being sarcastic while doin' good deeds.

"HE'S SUFFERED ENOUGH, STOP PICKING ON HIM" *Disliked*

Bethesda has truly created one of the most insufferable nags in video game history and after these incidents her ass is on house arrest in The Lodge.

Lollllll. Some of you really don't ever actually spend any time at all around other human beings, do you? No kind of way is she 50 years old. She's like 40 at the oldest, probably more like late 30s.

Age is difficult to judge in video games but if I remember correctly isn't she old enough to remember the colony wars? ... I don't know, never liked Sarah so I could be confused.
she even got medal in it.

But in all seriousness, she looks to be late 30s.

Advanced rejuvenation procedures. i am not saying that her vjj is too loose or something.

She commanded a small fleet combatant (i think something like a corvette, 11 crew) 19 years before the game time (end of colony war). Presumably she was 25 - 30 then.

Here I am going on a limb, and applying our Navy standards (not counting torpedo boats and minesweepers where you could get your first command as a lieutenant).

Has Bethesda ever created a really good companion? I would like someone to adventure with who does have morals and wants to do the right thing, but doesn't mind being drunk half the time and getting into minor mischief... and also understanding that when you are dealing with some scummy criminal or crooked government official that a quick headshot is a lot easier on all levels that putting up with any more of their BS. Cass, from the non-Bethesda Fallout New Vegas was about as close to perfect as I have found, other than modded in companions, although many of them are also unsufferable.

Look at who Constellation is.

From what ive seen so far: Boring sticks in the mud

Is there no morally grey companion? I wanted to kind of role play a Han Solo-ish smuggler but so far none of them approve.
Dude this game is so liberal that even playing as the ranger/police, it wouldn’t let me arrest the woman who admits to crime lol.

Had to tweak the ini file just to be able to serve her justice. Lot more fun once you make everyone killable like old games.

I must have missed that one ... which mission was it?

So far I haven't seen anyone that my character wants to romance.

My next life I'm gonna friend her up first so it's her that bites the dust instead of someone I actually like. Don't need another chick around messing up my blonde fu.

Sam is hot but I'm afraid going on his mission will ruin him for me.

Dont worry the great serpent will devour that for you

She fought in the colony war as a navigator. It's what her personal quest is about. That would make her about early 40s.

She was the ship's navigator, only in command because the captain and first officer were both killed. Lieutenant seems about right.

I see your point. May be I missed that, first quest chain i did. They kept calling her "captain" and she was bending out of shape with her survivors' guilt.

Still advancing to navigator requires being a lt. I'd say 25, so yea she is early 40s not 50.

If your current companion does not like certain activities, talk to them, tell them to "wait here"---> do whatever naughty things you want----> go talk to the companion again and tell them to continue following you. It works better than having a hissy fit.

Eh, all the military officers I've known in real life-- and I know several-- got their first commission (Lt.) at 21-22. I could buy that she's a youthful 40-41.

Though I would also note that in the time of a system-spanning all-out war, they would probably have rushed commissions through for talented young potential officers, possibly as young as 19-20, if they were desperate enough. There's plenty of precedent for that, both in real life and in sci fi. (E.g., World War II.) So I still think late 30s is at least plausible.

Either way, she's nowhere near 50.
