Assassins Creed is another one that is super guilty of this. Red Dead 2 got it right in that when you were near an NPC or an NPC on a horse your horse magically went the same speed as theirs unless you wanted to go faster by commanding it to do so. This does result in some odd results when you are trying to run past an NPC and your character is trying to match their speed. Sometimes in RDO you feel like you are glued to a character or another player and you are trying to run away but cannot.
Use your thumb to control your walk speed
Walk the same speed as NPCs
Yeah I get it "PC so KB duuuur" but first that is not always true and secondly most keyboards don't have analog controls. Using a controller for this game works wonders especially with the UI.
If i could get my PS4 controller to work with the PC bluetooth that would be great, but it doesnt work.
