Can somebody please explain simple fabricator logic to me
I have 3 solid storage containers daisy chained into one simple fabricator. If I want to switch the item being fabricated it says one or more connections will be made invalid and must be broken. Why the F? Every time I want to fabricate something different I have to re link the last storage crate and it works no problem. Why do the connections break? Makes no sense. Please somebody enlighten me to God Howard's ways because my feeble mind cant comprehend the reasoning here.

So it looks like I have to make a dedicated fabricator for each item I want to fabricate. This is silly.

I just ran into this and figured it out -- I had 2 solar panels providing 10 power and adding the fabricator made my power requirements 15 which exceeded my 10. When it says "some connections will be made invalid", this means it will disconnect power to other things, in my case the aluminum extractor, to free up the power requirements to run the simple fabricator.

TLDR; "... connections will be made invalid." equates to "We're going to disconnect things at random in order to free up enough power to run the fabricator."

This game is so bad. So poorly made. The dev team ought to be embarrassed, but I don't know if Bethesda can even feel shame at this point.

I have double the power required even after the fabricator is wired in. The only connections that get broken are to cargo containers which require no power. 🤷‍♂️ It all works after re-connecting the same cargo containers.
