But if Starfield is anything to go by TES6 is gonna be incredible.
As a Bethesda RPG its fantastic and they clearly took the criticism of Fallout 4 to heart and made huge improvements to the dialogue system specifically. Its only made me more confident ES6 will be good.
Id be interested to hear what aspects of Starfield make you think Fallout 5 and ES6 will be bad?
Since then though they've ousted the only person I believe that was striving for that kind of inspiration and reverted to releasing worse and worse games but including slightly better graphics.
Personally the fact that modders hours after released had fixed issues in the release (not all, but big ones) is further case for Bethesda just putting out any old @#$# and expecting the community, who's paid to be playtesters, to make the game semi reasonable.
It's not naivety, it's hope. Constantly killed hope, but hope nonetheless.
Starfield doesn't have any of the RPG mechanics at all. In the end it's just dumb looter shooter with fast traveling. What are you even talking about? Starfiels is RPG? LOL
What complexity exists in Daggerfall that makes it so good? Morrowing is easily the best game they have made from an RPG perspective, but combat not so much.
Fallout 4 was terrible as an RPG, but had fantastic gameplay and combat
every game has its pros and cons. Simplifying it to old=better isnt helpful.
What are your standards for an RPG then? i assume you would also think Skyrim and New Vegas aren't RPGs either?
Since oblivion came out I had made mention that I look forawrd to the next game only attack, magic and health stats.... that came true. When skyrim came out I mentioned I looked forward to the next game having only health... Starfield is essentially that so I have no idea what possible depth of character they can strip out and expect to be forgiven because they've built yet another direct to pc console port and completely given away any respect for the pc players who made their company so large and financial.
Daggerfall / Arena is the standard bethesda are held to by the people who made the company their money and power, and have continually been #$%# on by the company since TES3. I even forgive them Battlespire because I saw it more of a tech demo for morrowind.
I despised their take on the fallout games anyway so was never going to buy it and saw it purely as a fallout cash grab like TES online was. Abysmal at best.
Starfield i wont buy before its on a 60%+ discount, however long it takes.
Ill never again buy into any hype before its released. Ever.
Ill never let hype and rigged reviews or % on steam and other sites affect me anymore.
If they cant back up what they advertise i just wont buy the game.
Hopefully more and more people wont let gaming companies get away with releasing unfinished games, or games that dont deliver whats promised.
People need to make up their own mind before they buy, its tthat simple.
89% on Steam?
What a joke. They have no shame.
