Only one system that i can travel to
Hello

I have a problem...

I can use gravity jump only to travel to the nearest system...
When i choose it, blue line appears, and i can set destination, exit map, power up gravity engine and jump.
But when i try to travel to any other system, the line between system doesn't appear, and at the bottom right corner od screen i get info that fast travel is not possible...

Any suggestions?

Do you have enough fuel to jump further than 1 system?

Have you been to Alpha Centauri and specifically to the city of New Atlantis yet? The starter ship is locked down until you go there.

I will check fuel at home.

I'm on first system, and i can't even travel to Sol... Which is odd on my opinion...

I found this weird too, but this is how it currently is.

Actually when you go to the Lodge on New Atlantis one member makes a comment about you could have just taken the ship and moved off to another universe.
While the game does not allow you to do that. XD

I am at my first mission with Sarah and now I am allowed to jump everywhere.

Gotta go to Alpha Centauri first then. Afterwards you can explore freely.

Well... That wasn't an issue....
I AM in Alpha Centauri system, i've complited few side quests at Jemison Planet (Polish language, so i'm not sure if planets names are the same).

Yet still, a can travel only between Alpha Centauri and "Barnard Star" :(

Just to make sure. You've actually been to New Atlantis and entered The Lodge, right?

To my understanding, certain missions lock your ability to grav jump. Before you talk to Constellation, it's locked. Once you talk to them, you can say 'need time to think' and it will let you jump anywhere while you are thinking.

Haven't gotten past that yet (been busy), but it's possible you triggered a mission that locks you out of jumping?

Oh my god, i'm so stupid....

To freely travel to other systems, you have to go to Constelation HQ and bring back the artifact... :D

Problem solved!

Thanks for tips ;)

No bruh you got it all wrong. One of the members said luckily they build in that little device limiting your jumping capability or else you could have taken the ship far away.

Nah, you're not stupid. Many of us got surprised by this. It's because literally all other BGS games put you into the world after the tutorial and you are good to go where ever you want.

Thanks.
At that point I was just about "when can I unlock the galaxy?" and rushed through the whole Lodge thing. So I wasn't paying enough attention. :(

Vasco talks about the Indigo Protocol at least three times, Barrett also talks about it. They litteraly explain that you can't go anywhere else, and even label the concept.

The mission with Sarah is also part of the tutorial. It's a little longer than the norm for post-Oblivion Bethesda games but in fairness those games have tutorials that are far longer than Morrowind's "♥♥♥♥ off my boat criminal scum" tutorial

You haven't gotten control of the ship yet. Go to New Atlantis and head to the lodge. Once you meet the rest of the peeps and get a new person following you is when you unlock the galaxy pretty much. Its part of some protocol that the first constellation guy activates when you first get the ship that keeps you from "running away with the ship" as the other peeps call it.
