I will check fuel at home.
I'm on first system, and i can't even travel to Sol... Which is odd on my opinion...
Actually when you go to the Lodge on New Atlantis one member makes a comment about you could have just taken the ship and moved off to another universe.
While the game does not allow you to do that. XD
I am at my first mission with Sarah and now I am allowed to jump everywhere.
Thanks!
I AM in Alpha Centauri system, i've complited few side quests at Jemison Planet (Polish language, so i'm not sure if planets names are the same).
Yet still, a can travel only between Alpha Centauri and "Barnard Star" :(
To my understanding, certain missions lock your ability to grav jump. Before you talk to Constellation, it's locked. Once you talk to them, you can say 'need time to think' and it will let you jump anywhere while you are thinking.
Haven't gotten past that yet (been busy), but it's possible you triggered a mission that locks you out of jumping?
To freely travel to other systems, you have to go to Constelation HQ and bring back the artifact... :D
Problem solved!
Thanks for tips ;)
Nah, you're not stupid. Many of us got surprised by this. It's because literally all other BGS games put you into the world after the tutorial and you are good to go where ever you want.
At that point I was just about "when can I unlock the galaxy?" and rushed through the whole Lodge thing. So I wasn't paying enough attention. :(
The mission with Sarah is also part of the tutorial. It's a little longer than the norm for post-Oblivion Bethesda games but in fairness those games have tutorials that are far longer than Morrowind's "♥♥♥♥ off my boat criminal scum" tutorial
