After editing ship, I can't have some companions as crew?

So I have 5 crew spots, my previous ship, which is the same ship but un-edited (The Razorleaf) I could have 3 crew members and Vasco, now I can only have a specific 2 (Sarah and Barrett).

I can not place Sam Coe or Vasco on my ship, i can only send them to outposts now

Bethesda charme at it again. Sounds like a bug. Restarting the game has helped me when quests got stuck. Maybe it will also help to entangle the code gremlin in your save file.

Going to try going back to the Lodge first and ask them to join again, then I'll try a reset :P

Keep us updated when it works again and how you did it. A good case for a bug report.

UPDATE AND FIX: I went back to the Lodge, spoke to Vasco, said I'd assign him somewhere, now I can put everyone back on my ship

That's good, sounds easy enough.
Still a bug nontheless.

Check if the crew number on the bottom of the ship creator changed (compare different load times). If it did you probably changed/removed a module that had a crew station in it: cockpit, battle station, computer, control station etc.

Sorry, as I said I have access to max amount of crew for the ship, problem is fixed anyway :)

She keeps asking me for a damn book all the time. I even went out to find it only to find out there is no option to give her. Next, I found out you can`t murder kids in game lol

Same issue with me that I could not assign any human crew to my ship, I assigned Vasco to the ship and the ship popped back up as an option for all other crew.
