Edit: Went through all the moons of every planet on that system. No luck either.
Sorry, seems the locate and destroy crimson missions are bugged. Unless someone has some insight?
Not sure if it helps your situation any.
in this case you need to 'set a course' and Travel to the Planet first
from space around Kreet select Deepla and hit X, you will get the popup to Travel there not fast travel
First, go to the solar system where this Crimson Fleet Wraith is supposed to be, whatever that solar system is.
Second, when you reach that system, make sure the mission pointer doesn't appear! If it appears, travel there (with the ship's gravitational jump).
Third, after the gravitational jump and with your ship in the new location, the enemy ship or ships should appear or a new mission pointer should appear indicating that the Crimson Fleet is still in another location in that planetary system. If this is the case, do a new gravitational jump and you should now find the enemy ship(s). If this happens, you just have to eliminate the enemy ship(s) and you have completed the mission. If the ships do not appear, then move on to the next step.
Fourth, if the enemy spaceships do not appear and you cannot make a new gravity jump to jump to the place where these enemy spaceships are likely to be, this means that a bug occurred when this question was registered and you will have to use the game console to finish it. In that case, and only in that case!, open the game console by pressing the '`' grave key on UK keyboards, or the '~' tilde key on US keyboards.
Fifth, with the game console open, type the command "setstage 01ef957 100" (without the quotes!) and press the Enter key. You should receive the message that the Crimson Fleet Wraith has been eliminated and that the mission is over. If by chance you do not receive this message and the mission remains uncompleted, then use the "setstage 000e87aa 100" command. One of these two commands will have to work. After that, press the key you used to enter the game console again to exit it. Save the game.
Sixth, look for a new mission station at any bar in the big cities and accept a new mission to destroy the Crimson Fleet Wraith again. This is just for testing and now this quest should go well, without you needing to use console commands.
In Starfiel, unlike Skyrim where you could only have one mission active to eliminate an enemy of the same type, it is possible to have two of these missions open at the same time. With the code 01ef957, used in the first command I indicated above, you are completing the number one mission of this type of mission, destroying the Crimson Fleet Wraith. With code 000e87aa, you are completing mission 2 of this type of mission. That's why I say one of the codes has to work.
Attention! Use this command on the game console only after confirming that you flew to the planetary system where this Crimson Fleet Wraith is supposed to be and that you can't find it in any way. And keep in mind that if you don't use the Baka Achievement Enabler (SFSE) mod, which is on the Nexusmods website, your Steam achievements for Starfiled will be lost as soon as you enter a command on the game console!
Have fun!
