The Elder Scrolls VI: Hammerfell - my concerns
I immediately requested a refund for Starfield, as I was 100% disappointed, it was not the game I expected. I did not expect Fallout in space, and I also did not expect to see propaganda within the game. (I mean all those characters who necessarily have to tell about their gay or trans history.)
A sci-fi game doesn't have to have dialogue like that, transhumanism doesn't have to be focused on biological sex change.
This is a space game, and I find the interaction with the characters absurd and irritating, far too much like modern times, I don't see anything really futuristic here.

Now, regarding it my concerns about their next title, TES 6, I really fear that it may include propaganda, and see gay and trans characters there too despite the medieval context, as well as the selection of pronouns, which is totally absurd and not even contemplated, and the excuse that it is fantasy cannot be a valid excuse.

Call me a bigot, I have no interest in your judgment. What I see is the bane of entertainment, the bane of my dreams.
Am I being selfish? Probably.
May I express opinions? Evidently not, because I am sure a certain faction will go against me and this will become yet another thread where the two ideological factions clash, by now it is always Left vs Right, Biden vs Trump, Zelensky vs Putin, Progressives vs conservatives, and so on.

For me a much bigger concern is what will NOT be in TES VI. I fear they might remove the inherit racism of province majorities that has been present in every Elder Scrolls game. I fear they might cut down on kill moves and gruesome environmental story telling. I'm also afraid that they might limit your ability to be a really bad person outside the Dark Brotherhood questline by putting way too many protected NPCs in the game.

"medieval context"
Unlike dragons, gays and lesbians were fairy tale characters in feudal times......... :steamfacepalm:

You should better be concerned about them using the same engine again in their next titles and using procedural system for them aswell :_(

But the truth is, no matter what your concerns are, you cant do anything about it anywas :-/

Using the same Engine I like as an idea, this allows mods to be created easily.
In fact in the future some organized team will release a mod that will completely redevelop the game. Do you remember the team behind the project Enderal? Something like that.

Yes good point, I love modding and yes I also love these fan projects like Skyblivion. But you have to keep in mind that Bethesda makes these games. The modders can't do anything with the game alone, they need the tools. I don't know if they are guaranteed to get them or can make them themselves. But let's face it, it really is time for a new engine for Bethesda games. You can't have loading screens for every crap anymore. I'm pretty sure over time you can make the UE5 engine as accessible as the build engine with the right tools. But it's not just about the engine, tools and modders. No Bethesda must finally arrive in 2023, they use ideas, techniques and formulas from 10-20 years ago :-/

Well, coming to think of it, maybe it really is better if they stick with this engine, because I don't think they're going to change in all other areas anyway. But that also means that the community will never see anything innovative or simply new from them. It will only ever be a reskin of the previous games. If that's really enough for all of you and you can live with the loading screens, then I guess, gg ;-)

(If they want to put woke stuff in it, they will, you cant stop it)

If you did not expect fallout in space, I dunno what to tell you. This is fallout in space. It's Bethesda. It's what most people expected. Why a few of you gotta be expecting the new next gen genre defying & defining experience, I've got no clue.

You let yourself be manipulated.

No. I did expect some sort of travelling in space. NOT TELEPORTING... They misled lots of ppl "telling" that traveling in space is important part of the game. When I look at the trailers they show spaceship cockpits so I assume I'll be piloting that spacecraft from planet to planet, etc. NOT PRESSING KEY TO TELEPORT THERE....

This alone makes it clear you're either trolling or are intentionally thick and trying to start flame wars.

Saints Row got what happened to it specifically because it did NOT listen to the fans. I know that because I was one of said fans that kept telling them what we actually want. What the majority of us wanted, is not what we got.

As a result, the game was a major flop, and Volition is shutting it's doors.

The same cannot be said for Starfield or Bethesda. They've told us this is basically fallout in space and we should expect that, not a space simulator, the actual fans expected just that.

And we got exactly what they said we will get.

Nutjobs on the other hand expected this groundbreaking next gen space simulator that will redefine gaming and then threw a tantrum because they didn't get that. Because bethesda never said you will get that.

They said the opposite. You just didn't listen. Because you can't listen. You are driven by emotions, outrage, and propaganda.

What are you on about? Elder Scrolls has always had trans and gay characters. They've been part of the lore even back in Morrowind.

And let’s not forget the pedo-turned-god Tiber Septim.

Yeah, that’s right, Septim was clapping Barenziah’s cheeks when she was like 14, knocked her up, and then forced her to get an abortion.

And no, I’m actually NOT making that up lol

Of all the things your worried about, it's a single selection of a pronoun that might get used a handful of times?

I’m married to a woman of 33 years and only in the past decade do we get Mail addressed Mr. (Me) or Ms, but not both. Or it’s just my name or my wife’s name with no Mr or Mrs before it on the letter.

Previous to that, same organisations/companies it was Mr & Mrs.

It’s pathetic. No one asks heterosexual people if they want to be addressed differently, it’s just a ‘tick box’ play safe. Yet it infuriates me and my wife!
By all means live your life you way you want to but do *not* impinge on people that have lived this way for thousands of years!!

When you play a game it should have *options* as to how characters interact with you etc.
They DO NOT EXIST outside this game. They are unreal, so playing the PC Card is pathetic.

For that matter of political correctness, when was the last game you played that had a Mr and Mrs in it……. Ridiculous and pure brown nosing of he highest order

Your credibility was lost the moment you said you didn’t expect fallout in space . This is Bethesda . What did you expect then ? They have been milking the same formula for years now .

The very first Starfield trailer and the very first interviews, gave a glimpse of something really new.

Agreed Starfield was my final Step in seeing if Bethesda could fix it glaring issues from a RPG stand point and it failed miserably not going to buy Tes 6 Unless Reviews are good or it 10 years after it release and modder fixed it.
