Pro tip: scanner POI range

For PC peeps, there's a mod that increases scanner range, but it's not needed. Drop your console and do this: SetGS fHandScannerMapMarkerMinRange 3000

I don't use this setting on proper planets, but the barren moons kind of need it to avoid aimless 2KM runs. All this does is expose POIs at <X> distance so that you can do a quick scan of each POI type.
