The system isn't designed to allow anything that occurred in one edit session to carry over in any way to a different session.
That's more like it.

My kind of ships.
The one that I'm buying is $237,000 but I have Commerce maxed out so it's going to cost less.
I've saved 213,000 so far.
To me, this is a one ship game. I don't see stealing ships as a viable option. You still need to be wealthy to build your own tin cans in this game. That's why I'd recommend that people save money first. Worry about their ships later. Whether they build them or buy them. Any construction in this game requires wealth.
Nice ships, by the way.
I see that you only like the Particle and Suppressors/Electromagnetic weapon systems.
Best combo in the game.
But....and i don't really want to post this b/c it will probably get changed, you can salvage ships for a lot more than what you receive if you outright sell them. You can figure it out from there.
It is the same trick I've used in Car Mechanic Simulator when low on cash.
Ship builder, select parts --> delete every single part
