Performance (for me) is way better on Xbox gamepass than STEAM. Why?

Anyone know why this would be the case?

On xbox game pass I am getting 70-90 fps almost everywhere at 4k on ultra preset.

On STEAM I was getting 45fps with the exact same settings.

dont have a comparison point but can say, it's running fine for me too on gamepass. 4k, defaulted to ultra. 60fps is this tv's refresh rate but been steady except for few places in the city where went down to 50fps or so.
Weird tho, maybe from something like the steam overlay?

playing on steam here at 4k ultra 80-100+ fps regularly 55-60 in cities. It runs fine

Could be, maybe because I had steam overlay AND Nvidia overlay on? I should have tried to both overlays off, but I forgot.

At the moment I have nvidia overlay on.

Because Steam is buggy as hell atm and I am pretty sure it has a memory leak somewhere. That might cause it.
