I think that Sam Coe is voice acted really poorly. Whoever told Elias Toufexis to go into the booth and speak with extremely little emotion at a voice barely above a whisper at all times should be apprehended and probably jailed. I have never in my life met anybody who speaks this way; you have to like close off your entire throat to emulate the way he speaks, no human being could sustainably talk like that. I formally request that Bethesda bring Elias back to the recording studio and have him just say the lines in his NORMAL VOICE at a NORMAL VOLUME befitting of a NORMAL HUMAN BEING with VOCAL CORDS!

The crappy actor, a third-hand actor, Elias T., should do other things to gain his living, cuz acting is not for him ! The muppet have no intonation, no emotions, NOTHING resembling what we call "acting".
Look at the scene with Shaw gang, when the woman representing Shawn leader is acting - clear, nice voice, emotions, intonation, perfect acting. Next to her, Elias is like a dumb rock.
In the "The Expanse" his short apparition was also miserable, and in the role of Adam ( Deus-Ex) also he managed to kill the character, with his crappy, mechanical voice... Hell, even an AI voice is easier to support than this dude voice !

It really reminded me of Edward Burns in 'Saving Private Ryan'. In fact, I was kind of surprised when I found out he wasn't the VA.

But the voice is fine with me.

Spoiler: Just make sure Sam is your highest or 2nd highest Affinity Companion and choose the option that will ensure his death at the end of the story and then you can continue exploring without him tagging along. Cora will leave with her mother and you'll never have to deal with that annoying child ever again.

I recommend hiring someone like the dude wearing the hat at the viewport to fill in for Sam. There are also some guys in Akila city that would be a good replacement for Sam as well.

I don't mind him but I also have a naturally quiet voice so it didn't seem unusual to me.

I don't mind the soft spoken part of it but the lack of emotion REALLY SHINES THROUGH in a few places where he should have been pretty agitated (his personal quest line, and with his dad). He sounds like a psychopath during a few lines because of it.
