Script Extender
I downloaded the script extend from nexus. I copied the .dll and .exe files over. The .exe file will not turn on starfield. Any ideas?
Edit: The console command box will open for maybe half a second and then disappear, then nothing

Also running as administrator does nothing

Are there even any mods that use a script extender yet?

Do you have any other mods installed that hook into the exe file, such as the DLSS enablers, achievement enables, etc?

If you do, my advice would be to remove all of those. See if SFSE works with nothing else trying to hook into the exe. If it works, you can then add those back one at a time to find out which is causing you issues.

I have the dlss mod installed. As far as any mods using script extender i do not know. Also how can i tell if my mods are working in the game? is there a console command I can run or anything?

I'm fairly certain that I read somewhere that one of the DLSS mods does not work with SFSE. Try switching to the other one. But first verify that SFSE works without any DLSS mod installed at all.

I've played 50 hours of the game, most of that with both SFSE and DLSS mod installed (and achievement enabler) and it is all working fine.

Edit to add: As far as I know the only way to check if your mods are installed and working is to see the affects of the mod in the game. SFSE though shows if you go into game options, it will say SFSE down in the corner (bottom left, next to the game version number).

I had the DLSS mod installed first, then added in SFSE.

Two other things that I can think of.

Make sure that you have the SFSE.ini file in the Data\SFSE directory. Inside that file it should have the following:
[Loader] RuntimeName=Starfield.exe

Also make sure you have Steam actually running. That is required.

At least one, that I'm aware of.

Well now I load in and my inventory mod isnt working so im wondering how many other mods arent working (i still cant get the sfse to work)

If you mean StarUI, I'm using that one fine too. And about 15 other mods, all working.

Maybe you made a mistake of some kind with just one of them, and it's causing everything to not quite work right. Personally if I were you I would remove everything and restore the game installation back to square one and add things one at a time, verifying each one works before adding the next.

Installation on site

1. Copy the dll and exe files in to your Starfield folder. This is usually C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\. Do not put it in your Data folder.
2. Ignore the src folder. It is there for programmers only.
3. Make sure Steam is running, then launch the game by running sfse_loader.exe.

I suggest using Vortex from nexus as your mod manager, when you install SKSE thru nexus use the Vortex download and it will install it correctly for you - then you run starfield from Vortex and it should use skse properly

running thru vortex or manually just has the game "start" in steam then immedialty stop and sync the save data.
