Is the RTX 2070 not enough for Starfield?
Go the game on Gamepass, can't run it at 60 Fps, even at low Settings. My Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
Mobo: MAG B550M MORTAR

The game is aslo installed on a SSD.

This is your warning to start upgrading as new games coming out are going to start struggling. 16 gb ram isnt a lot these days either. The game runs decently well using my 3060 ti build. Bought this card like 3 years ago.

A 4070 might be nice now for most games but you'll quickly regret as it will be outdated very fast for games launched in 2024 and 2025. 4080 will be futureproof for atleast 4 years.

2070 isn't "very weak". It's on the lower end of mid range but shouldn't have an issue running Fallout 4 graphics, no ray tracing, up-scaling, with everything separated via loading screens.

If you want very weak, look at Steams most popular GPU, 1650.

It's always the mainstream casuals that play with ancient hardware and then complain that games released in 2023 aren't optimised.

My 2080ti can play this, took adjustments, getting 45-80 in areas, dips here and there, 30fps - 60 in new atlantis.
My laptop with a 1660ti (6gb) runs it on 1080p, its will play at 40-55, new atlantis on the laptop tho his 25 - 40

Yea on 1080p maybe, but at 1440p ,the 3060 ti will have issues running the game at 60 fps consistantly. Personally I would always buy an xx80 card so you will be future proof for many years.

I have a 4090, 32gb DDR5, PCIE4 nvme, 13700k, the game isn't optimised.
I just "upgraded" (sidegraded?) from a 1080 to a 2070, and starfield won't launch anymore, I now don't have any device that can play the game because of minimum requirements check.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
