Sell books

Is there a place to sell expensive books? E.g. List of early Cheyenne settlersa and Original charter of Akila City, both worth 2400 credits each

The Trade Authority vending machine at new Atlantis Spaceport has 5000 vendor Cred you can sell there
Or the mercantile next to the bar.
Or you can take the elevator near the mercantile to the "well" and take a left and go to the trade authority themselves which have around 11000 vendor credits.

Charter feeds a side quest. Dunno how quest stacks up against the markdown of 2400. If Settlers is the same price point it might feed another side quest, but to date I've only had a quest call for me to deliver the Charter so far.

Unfortunately I tried selling them to the Trade Authority or to all the merchants in New Atlantis, but the items won't display.

There is a book store in Akila city that prob takes books for a decent price. Also the museum in Akila might take the charter.

I just checked at the Akila Museom and Leah is willing to pay you to give her important books and documents that have historical value.

She bought the Charter for 3K and Settlers Book for 5k. Noice

Glad you got some value out of them; better that than Trade Deformity any day. :)

As for where I picked up the quest, I don't think you had to have the quest. If you've already met the museum owner (met her during a long New Atl quest line) and then you happen upon the Charter book, I think it will populate your quest->activity log with "take the charter to Leah blahblah". Don't think the reward changes either way.
