Nicest spot for an outpost <3

Guys, I am about to set up my first outpost and I wanted to find some nice neighbourhood for it ;p

Ideally a planet without predators, maybe near a landmark or town or an ocean so I can have a nice view ?, and if possible with breathable atmosphere and acceptable temperature ;p

Also best some place where it would be nice to spend vacation so like Hawaii or North Pole :)

I would love to hear your suggestions :)

Honestly, build your first outpost somewhere where you can get both aluminum and iron, as those are needed to build almost everything. Tau Ceti system has some good spots for that, as well as Helium (fuel for when you want interstellar outposts) and Beryllium (for solar panels). Once you've got your resource harvester outpost(s) set up, then you can go for a pretty main base somewhere.

Well I wasnt planning on building a house there just yet ;p But i need a place where I can assign my crew in buggy situations ;p

So I was thinking ill probably put a flag there and maybe a desk and a chair and bobs your uncle ;p but you know it could also just be in a nice spot too ;p

Thanks for the tip tho its going to be a livesaviour when I get to actually use that outpost :)

Try and find something near the coast, you can build it overlooking the ocean. Got to love the huge waves in the many oceans out there.

Both these locations offer Al, Fe, Be, and He-3 (I have outposts on both) These resources are key to establishing the resource base for additional outposts.

If you land in a spot that boarders on the mountain zone and crater zone, after you land find the line between where the Iron and Aluminum spawns. If you walk up that line you can usually find a spot that will have all 4 resources available in one outpost.

I just plopped down an outpost on Codo to hide some stolen goods.

In reality, you're probably going to have several, all providing resources to a single hub outpost.

So for starters, just begin building some to gather resources (and maybe a hiding spot for contraband) and go from there.

There are resource storage containers (you can automate production into and out of those) additionally, in your outposts you can place containers (chests, boxes, and such)
and lastly you can add storage containers to your ship to expand the inventory there.
