Controller help: Trigger won't fire guns or ship guns

Hardware is a wireless xbox controller. Oddly enough I can remap it on the controller and fire with a button, but I'd like to get it working on the trigger. I can also shoulder the gun with left trigger. all the other buttons seem to work. Only trying to fire a gun/laser/ship gun do I not get a response. I've had no luck looking online for a solution. Do ya'll have any ideas?

My man, I just had this same problem. I discovered that my triggers actually have a switch that allows you to map extra functions (or something like that anyways). Make sure that switch is in the right position. Sorry if this doesn't help you!

Just visit a Enhancer Store in one of the cities and open the Player Customization. You don't have to change anything; after you've saved your character, it should resolve the bug.
