Wait, is there no Grab or move option?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to grab and move an item in the world. You can pickup stuff into your inventory and drop stuff randomly around yourself, but surely there must be a button to grab something and move it around. Thats been in Bethesda games since Oblivion. I must just not be seeing it surely?

Hold E as you would in previous games, LMB/RMB rotates it on specific axis.

it is a little bit iffy and just as tedious as placing things in Skyrim or Fallout 4.

You have to hold it down considerably longer than in Fallout or Skyrim, why? dunno? I for one loved to re-arrange things and get them tilted certain ways, stacking books, candles, cookware, etc... Now I need to mod it so doing that won't take centuries... Along with putting buckets/boxes on top of the guards head.
