Does anyone else hate Sarah Morgan?

I somehow just can't stand her. She's such an awful elitist. Everywhere we go it's "Eww, look at these dirty miners in their dirty mining town. If only these greedy corporations would replace them with robots already so I don't have to look at them anymore!" and "I'm very disappointed with you for not gunning down that jaywalker, what a grave injustice letting him escape!"

Then her whole backstory is basically just one giant sequence of events where her actions or inaction caused people to die and all you can do it keep assuring her that she did nothing wrong and is very brave for confronting her trauma.

She took a ship with no shields into a battle and cause it to be lost. She didn't bother telling the rescue crew that came for her to go check out the coordinates of the other shuttle which she had with her at her crash site. She then spent ten years in charge of various organizations with access to ships and adventurers and didn't bother to send anyone, not to mention, if the mission board is anything to go by just paying someone to go check out a certain place on a planet costs you 5k credits tops. She didn't do that either. Everyone who died on Cassiopeia is her fault, and she just gets away with it.

Also, why is she such an awful leader? Seriously, like two hours into the game we figure out that the first person to touch an artifact gets cosmic visions and what is constellation's plan from there on out? "Let's just make the same dude touch all of them." What the hell? Nobody else wants to see the visions? Nobody else wants the powers? We're just all in on making some rando the chosen one for no reason? Why?

I really wanted to like her, but the more quests I took her on, the worse it got. It's the inconsistencies that drove me up the wall. On some quests/interactions, you'd have to pick the "white knight" option basically or she wold "dislike that". Then you turn around and offer to let the authorities take a petty thief (who is currently bleeding out by the way), she gets mad at you. Her words were "that thief should have been left to rot on an asteroid alone".

Like ... dude, wtf. This thief had a more relatable backstory than you did.

She got super mad at the decision I made in the Vanguard quest, because I didn't pick the "sciency" one, despite it being science that made the war very terrible and similar the terrormorph issue? Really? But after she rails you, you get the "I hope this won't come between us, I love you so much."

Then during the main quest line after the "big decision" you have to make towards the end, she started having a "oh woe is me moment" and uses you as a punching bag, then turns right around and gives you the "oh I love you so much, I'm sorry I'm a terrible person."

And that's the thing about Sarah. She's the kind of woman that can love you like absolutely no other, sweet talk you, make you feel on top of the world, but on the other hand you never know when she's gonna have "one of those days" and make your life miserable. I've been with one like that in real life. Ain't worth it chief.

If that was by design, then props to the writer. But it's stupidly obvious this was NOT by design. It's just inconsistent character responses. If anything, Sarah is somewhere between bipolar and schizophrenic.

Doing her companion quest showed me how weak a person she was and how much a coward she was. I had regretted picking her until 45 minutes later when the main quest element helped me save face.

Skipped that ceremony lol. Unfortunately I was then saddled with Berret who wouldn't stfu about talking to me even though he knew it was a bad time.

lol the loot comments were a issue in FO4 as well lol, people have made mods to prevent loot comments ha ha.

like in some cases it's meant to be funny, but because it's commented on all the time, it gets annoying fast.

it kind of reminds me of a scene in cyberpunk with johnny in your head jokeing around and making the comment of when you are using a gun and shoot one bullet and then shortly after you reload and he comments and says, really? after one bullet? that comment made me laugh out loud when i heard it, now the comment never got repeated ever again, but because it was only that one time, i had no issue with the comment, in bethesda games NPC's are well, NPC's they don't really think or feel real to the player because they constantly say the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Sarah Morgan is so annoying. Not kidding.. SO ANNOYING! All her lines are her bickering at the player forcing him to constantly justify his actions. She's the prototype nagger nutcase from hell.
I'm a pirate & I started a poop-tier colony - barely livable - on a Toxic Atmosphere type totally hellish planet just so I could maroon her there.

Sam needed to go back to Akila, just to talk, to finish his daughters quest. I needed to land and go to the center of Akila so I could smash x and ignore him to get the EXP
