Does anyone else hate Sarah Morgan?

I somehow just can't stand her. She's such an awful elitist. Everywhere we go it's "Eww, look at these dirty miners in their dirty mining town. If only these greedy corporations would replace them with robots already so I don't have to look at them anymore!" and "I'm very disappointed with you for not gunning down that jaywalker, what a grave injustice letting him escape!"

Then her whole backstory is basically just one giant sequence of events where her actions or inaction caused people to die and all you can do it keep assuring her that she did nothing wrong and is very brave for confronting her trauma.

She took a ship with no shields into a battle and cause it to be lost. She didn't bother telling the rescue crew that came for her to go check out the coordinates of the other shuttle which she had with her at her crash site. She then spent ten years in charge of various organizations with access to ships and adventurers and didn't bother to send anyone, not to mention, if the mission board is anything to go by just paying someone to go check out a certain place on a planet costs you 5k credits tops. She didn't do that either. Everyone who died on Cassiopeia is her fault, and she just gets away with it.

Also, why is she such an awful leader? Seriously, like two hours into the game we figure out that the first person to touch an artifact gets cosmic visions and what is constellation's plan from there on out? "Let's just make the same dude touch all of them." What the hell? Nobody else wants to see the visions? Nobody else wants the powers? We're just all in on making some rando the chosen one for no reason? Why?

Yes that quest pissed me off too. I chose the animals instead of the virus, and every companion gave me ♥♥♥♥ about it. You can shoot animals, poison them, etc. Vvirus are an entirely more difficult problem to deal with. But yeah, trust the science...

And then at the end the spaceborn you says distributing the creatures (I can't remember the name) brought the governments *closer* together due to the logistics. Frankly I am annoyed at most of the members of Constellation. I chummed around with Barrett and while he was similar he didn't tend to hold anything against me.

I deal with Sarah with the a stroke to the chin from the stock of my shotgun when she irritates me, or a bop on top of the head with the butt of my pistol. Sarah is the most irritating NPC companion that I have ever been forced to use. I would cheerfully leave her behind if it was possible, the same with the whiny Sam and the goofy clown Barrett. Constellation NPC companions are the worst set I have ever encountered from any game.

Same. The most poorly scripted game characters I've seen in a long time. Not exactly Two Worlds bad...but getting there.

I think the people who made this game hate women. All the girls look like little boys and the personalities are horrible. I hate Sara she is a major Karen...do this..don't do that...to make matters worse I swear they made her AI jump in front of your shots and get in your way the whole time...I travel with Betty but they made her act and talk manly and just like John Wayne...but of all the 10 I have tried so far she doesn't get in my way or nag too much about what I am doing.

Yeah, but you can't blame that on Sarah alone, specially the miner in Cydonia are blind-mining. E.g. I did the quest for the overseer, where you had to mine 10 Iron, and during the dialogues, he got several mining lasers straight to his face while talking to me.

I like your points, I have thought the same about the story. It would make sense that there would be competition for the powers even among the pre-Starborn just as much as the game pushes the conflict between the actual Starborn. I can't count the amount of times I've tried to get my companions to go through the magical portals that give you powers after chasing the sparkly bits... It seems silly that they(your constellation companions, especially Barrett) would all be behind you gaining even more power especially given the conversations they have with you that exhibit trepidation about your acquiring these powers. It's a multiverse game though, maybe we will eventually find one that works!
