Strange on the monitor menu it has the refresh at 120Hz, almost sure that my monitor could do 144Hz as well :/ its been a while since i played around with the settings...
Its because the monitor can run in split mode, you can plug two inputs into it and use two different screens. On DX12 the monitor is funky, im using my other monitor because of it. As far as I know the only way is to manually set the monitor in windows to the exact resolution you use for gaming, otherwise you need to change the hz in order to unlock the proper ratios.
The main thing that is going to annoy you is the game HUD when using an ultra wide screen.
Hey maybe thats my issue too. thought my G9 was just ultrawide but its 49inch. thought was running same as you but im not. im at 5160x1440
That 5160x2160 monitor is really tempting too.
