I mean, he did specifically say in an interview last year, that there won't be manual landings on planets. Yet people are acting like he promised that feature and lied about it.
He also stated how there will be planets/moons that are "just a ball of ice", because that is space. But people act like the game is boring, because it has some boring planets/moons.

Or, you could have just played it on PC Game Pass, like I'm doing. And no, I don't pay for Game Pass, it came with my brand new Xbox Series X for 2 years. So even if the game runs like garbo on my PC, I know for a fact that the Series X version HAS been optimised.

As for the original Op's comment, all I have to say to you is : Sounds like you've never played a Bethesda game before, because Bethesda games have been just like Starfield for as long as I've played them, and that's from Morrowind onwards.

So much freedom... So much exploration... I've never felt so totally free to explore a menu-based fast travel system in my entire gaming life!

I'am sorry but looking at the space sections in this game, i don't no what's a bigger joke the visuals or the fact people actually pre ordered this game, does no one remember that Ratchet and Clank game where you could land on a few planets and take of back into space with no loading screens, granted it was a a small map but that was on the PS3.
