3070ti plus a 9th Gen CPU, so no powerhouse in any respect - I run the game of course on an NVME drive, with 32g DDR4. 1440p with a mix of high / ultra - 75% FSR2 but with DLSS mod - honestly the game is smooth and no stuttering in any environment - cities, space firefights etc. I do use a Gsync monitor with no Vsync in game.
Now I don't kid myself that I am getting 60+ anywhere but probably isolated planets - but by the seat of my pants game is smooth, no lag - no issues with gun play in any fire fight (which is where you would notice).
I was all set to upgrade my system for Starfield - but I figure I can at least take my time to do that...

performance is trash. anyone who says otherwise is a chump.
Do you still have low FPS? am getting 45-55fps on a 3080ti

3070 Ti
Ryzen7 1700x (Yeah I know lol, i was planning to upgrade but **** happened)
16 GB RAM
1080p G-sync

Only made it as far as meeting Vasco, but around 40-50 ish FPS on high on average.
I turned everything to Medium and I feel it made very little difference.

FSR, Motion blur, film grain all turned off.

Just reporting, I am not complaining or celebrating, I know my CPU is kind of old and I haven't updated drivers (Cuz last time I did, it made Cyberpunk worse), but maybe I will.

I'm on 4070, 5600x and 32gb RAM & Have the game on m.2 ssd. I get 35 fps in New Atlantis, no matter what I do with the games settings. I don't think there's any magic fix for this, yet.

Well, except for the frame gen, which does work, but it feels like a band-aid

Optimization seems terrible. Nothing justifies it either. It doesn't look much better than f4 and doesn't have lots of background stuff going to warrant the CPU usage either.

Game optimization is horrendous, that is an indisputable fact. However, try the Hardware Unboxed's YouTube video suggested settings (performance version). Before I was getting 30-115 fps with horrible graphics (little resolution, low everything) and anything below 60 is noticeably worse.

After following the recommendations, I am getting 45-80fps but much more on the higher end (stable) and the quality improved significantly. Give it a go.

With 3070 / i7 10700 it is unplayable, the FPS drop is incredible and the optimization is very bad.
I tried adjusting the settings but it changes very little.

What resolution? I am running at 2560x1080 and have no issues.

It could be 15-20fps better and more consistent, but no issues, and far from unplayable.

For me playing at 30/40 fps is unplayable and unacceptable, perhaps with those +15/20 that you say it could be something acceptable. (+60FPS)

Yeah, I find anything less than 60fps is terrible. With the HUB settings at least I got to a satisfactory level, but do hope for optimization.

I manage to get mid 40s to mid 50s with my 3070ti @ 3440x1440 high settings with fsr at 80. I turned off blur, grain. Even tho I know the fps isn't a steady 60; I find it hard to tell. But I don't normally play 1st games.
Multirate Sep 6, 2023 @ 12:14pm
3070ti with i5k 50-60 fps other than new atlantis... that place crashes me every second time i try to go there.
Multirate Sep 6, 2023 @ 12:16pm
gpu is chillin so i guess its the cpu that gets kick in the nuts at new atlantis.
