Crashes Per Hour
Im somewhere between the minimum required specs and the recommended, playing on lowest settings possible, currently just walking around doing fetch quests in New Atlantis, but Im crashing like every ten minutes to desktop? Keeping count and I am literally averaging 6 crashes per hour. Ive done everything I could find online in the settings to make this work including capping my game at 60fps through AMD. I wasnt expecting to play the game on high settings obviously but I wanted it to just run on low LOL. Maybe it's just New Atlantis as I didn't have this issue till I got there, but it certainly is keeping me from wanting to explore more or get into any kind of combat. I'm not sure what to do at this point. ...

Depth of field is off, dynamic resolution off, upscaling off, filmgrain on 0, all settings on Low, motionblur off, capped at 60 fps through my GPU

Edit- apparently my computer just doesnt like new atlantis and the lodge, everywhere else is fine lol

Have not had a single crash, 7900xt, ryzen 7 7700x 32gbs ddr5 and multiple SSDs, i think its about time people started upgrading their computers instead of thinking their crappy GPU can play a graphically demanding game.

40 hours, 1 crash.

Although maybe 10+ are on the menus because I left it running a long time while doing other stuff.

Recommended system requirement here,

65+ hours in, no crash,

30 hours in with 1 crash and it wasnt helping that I had a second game open to check something while I was playing. Unless you are far beneath the required specs and is crashing due to system hangtime or something liek that then either validate the files or you have an issue with your pc. Faulty ram can cause issues maybe like that.

Hitting 40 hours of playtime, no crashes other than when I was using the "Quicksave backup utility" (which is available at Nexusmods), my game crashed like 4 times in just a few hours when I was using that. I stopped using it, crashes stopped too.

The game is apparently sensitive to background applications.

Having "updated" hardware doesn't mean anything...there are so many variables when it comes to pc builds and why or what is causing crashes. Would help to narrow down your issues if you were to share exactly what is happening and what your specs are instead of making broad complaints.
How about you kiss my ass jackass

3 hours 2 crashes. Might give it a few days before I play again so hopefully they patch this.
Weaver Sep 5, 2023 @ 9:03pm
45+ hours, zero crashes, even tabbing in and out.

Microsoft made Bethesda delay the game to squash bugs and it largely succeeded.

CPH should be a new metric, like frames per second or miles per gallon
