Starfield is like Warframe 2.0

You can't call Warframe a space game, so you can't really call Starfield a space game either. People think fast travel is good now because they ran out of ammo or med packs, or can't fly to pluto under 7 hours. If you believe this "logic" then you're an idiot. Just because you limit carrying capacity and don't have a warp speed on a spaceship, does not mean fast travel is the solution. Not to mention, ammo has no carrying weight -- so the problem is hold more of it, not break immersion with fast travel.

What we have, is a scatter map of instances -- most static and 1 randomly generate instance wherever you nominate to land. The planets are fake assets that you can fly through, and tile sets have invisible boundaries. This is fkn Warframe 2.0 without the fantasy abilities or multiplayer.

The game is maze-like gauntlets between dialog skip, separated by instance to instance and loading screens -- with open world functioning as a nice sight seeing experience but thats it.

Its a joke... you can't call this a space game when you spend 99% of your time in a terrestrial instance with fleeting moments of actual space flight/fighting. I mean wtf is the point of even cargo hauling when you have fast travel? -- The trade off is the travel time for that kind of gameloop. Its been that way in every game that does any kind of cargo hauling.

Understand that most ya playerbase is people from Star Citizen -- and we're just seeing what game will deliver an immersive multiplayer space sim experience first. Yeah its single player, but so was skyrim and fallout, so it initially made sense to view it as a potential competitor. But after experiencing what the game actually is -- its not even a space game, its a space themed terrestrial RPG with scattered boxed instances.

The biggest let down of Starfield is that its actually not a space game where you fly your ship around much at all. Its Warframe 2.0 where you hop from instance to instance with some useless space ship inbetween.
