game crashes when i try to start a new game.

what may be the issue &

It's completely borked on Linux with Nvidia cards with drivers other than 525/530 unfortunately.

Give it a week or two for either Proton GE, Proton/Valve or Nvidia to release a fix. I can imagine there are already multiple groups working on it.

its does that with the newest nvidia drivers. Works fine for me after rolling back to 525.

525 utilises your CPU over your GPU. Peeps are getting to run on 525 but with poor FPS. 535 utilises GPU and crashes on a new game.

Iv'e been playing the game on 525 while yea I'm not getting 100+fps. Its still playable.

Gold that early might be a little too optimistic, it would be nice to have people actually complete the game and report on ProtonDB.

Same here - Every time I try to start a new game, it crashes and freezes my entire PC.
I'm on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS with a RX 6650XT.

Nobara KDE and RX 6800 here. Can't replicate the issue on my end. But I do sometimes get an audio bug of about 2 seconds of static distortion. But not that often. Usually the game runs as expected.
