What background did u guys picked?

Im torn between a few, bouncer, soldier, explorer, diplomat... cant pick my role

Honestly though; don't worry too much about the background; its only three levels so pick whichever you want to roleplay.

I did Bouncer, but be warned - there are no "unarmed/fist" weapons like in Fallout. It's literally bare hands. I do hope they adjust that down the road.

Don't pick Combat Medic if you want extra dialog options. I've had exactly zero in 40 hours, in spite of having conversations with at least a dozen wounded people and some of them critically so.

A wasted background pick.

I've been playing with Cyber Runner because I like sneaking and the lock picking system is new and interesting (but will get old eventually) and there are a lot of locked boxes and computers. < Hacking is done with lock picking skill.

Theft a little meh, but CR was the only background with both of the things I wanted.

True, but they don't really change anything that I've seen ... people will comment on me being a troublemaker but I've gotten one dialog option that was just fluff so far.

Bounty Hunter.
I had target ships right off the bat.
Shoot engine --> board enemy ship ---> kill everyone --> fly to a planet with port --> register ship via technician -->sell ship and loot.
About 5k for each captured ship (with loot included inside)
** Don't forget to loot the cockpit safe (usually have 2) before selling it :)

Went Bounty Hunter as well. Having maxed out jetpack by level 15 is pretty nice as well as capturing ships at will.

You can pretty much stay in the air 24/7 on any planet where the gravity is 1 or lower.

You need shielded cargo for the contraband or are you storing at an off planet base?
Where is the station that doesnt scan?

hmmm this is interesting, bounty hunter would fit the kind of roleplay im inclined to do
