Oblivion and Skyrim were better at launch?
For a market that has a lot more people these days as consumers, and where we should be in a “progressive world” with new tech, graphic engines, story development ect… let’s be honest. This is a huge let down.

Oblivion and Skyrim were much better at launch and had way more culture and custom tailored feel which made it exciting to dive into. Even if those games also had some bugs… people could still find a way to keep coming back and stay excited with the World/Story.

Starfield doesn’t hold much to that benchmark which was created 10+ years ago. And with todays standards, that’s a real shame. Instead hints of “woke” have generated more discussions and banter over the game than it’s own plot. Very sad.

No, it’s just really sad. They don’t make games like they used to I guess…

Didn't "woke" discussions dominate the BG3 forums at release too?

I bought skyrim at launch. The dragons flew backwards and the horse carriages for getting to places didn't work. There was uproar at the ability to have homosexual marriages too. Take off those rose tinted glasses.

♥♥♥♥ no lol skyrim barely played on console at all. The PC release was slightly better.
Oblivion and skyrim are both still bug riddled.
The "Woke" argument is getting old fast. Doesn't take much to trigger the morons these days I guess.

How is this rage bait? Even PCGamer reviewed Starfield a 7/10. Sorry for being disappointed and expressing that…

Naw, there was still a lot more hype and positivity surrounded Oblivion and Skyrim at release than this…

In your own little fantasy world maybe.

What are you talking about?

I have experienced every Bethesda PC launch since Skyrim (really new vegas but that was obsidian) and Starfield is the least buggiest and most playable port they have ever made.

- Fallout 4 had micro stutters on PC for the first few months/year.
- Skyrim honestly was close to this release because I don't remember much big glaring issues when I played on launch.
- Oblivion while I did not play on launch seem like a very bad console port.

People can try all they want to to say how broken and buggy this game is but in reality its their smoothest launch probably since Skyrim.

Thats a good thing because Skyrim was NOTORIOUSLY busted on launch. So either you're lying or larping

Sure even with all the bugs, there was a lot more positivity around the older Bethesda games at launch. I never said Starfield was more buggy. I can look past bugs. It’s the game world and story that is lacking… and the various reviews, message boards, forums ect now a days look a lot more negative than they did back when Oblivion and Skyrim released.

People were equally excited and Skyrim still received very good reviews. It also was fixed and playable very quickly. Starfield is already playable, and it’s just boring for many. No special feeling to really explore the story like in the past Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim ect plots

To be fair when those games were released the steam forums were nowhere near as bad and troll filled as they are now.
