I do agree with HeelvsBabyface but at this point in time you have to deal with it until ship changes (and it will, eventually).
But not because I found it terrible. I got a 7900 XT GPU bundled with the title, so why should I keep both? So I gave back the one I bought and activated the one I got bundled with the GPU.
And the "Woke-Stuff"`? I don't mind "them" as an option.
1st I don't have to pick it - I still can play as a straight male.
2nd in 200 years I bet ppl are more mixed in heritage than today, especially after mass exodus event that brought down any borders
3rd Gay relationships aren't new in a Bethesda game. Just saying. It was a thing in Skyrim and Oblivion already. And don't say the girls looked better then ... ;-)
In fact, the only "woke stuff" I'm concerned with is the lack of natural food. Everything appears to be processed and artificial. I love the real thing: real meat, real fruit, real cheese, real Pilsner etc.
But as people were playing in the five days before it's official release (I pre-ordered the standard edition so was patiently waiting for the 5th) I read a lot of the posts. I chose to ignore all the "woke" and "we were lied to posts" as that has no bearing on my ability to enjoy the game. But I did get worried as I heard about it being a high-end running game. I double-checked the stats on my laptop and to my chagrin I discovered I had erroneously believed my gaming laptop ran at 16 GB memory instead of only the 8 GB my computer actually has.
Sadly, I was crestfallen to learn that it would be impossible to play Starfield on my system, so I did end up refunding it. I know I wont be able to get a new computer for at least a year or more. Otherwise I would definitely not have refunded. (I'm just not the kind of person who thinks about my computer stats and I don't have any of them memorized in my head)
I can believe that a number of people have refunded the game if it just didn't run properly on their rigs. And I know too many people seem to get an idea of what they WANT a video game to be and then are disappointed that it is not THEIR vision when they play it even if a game studio never said the game was going to be such.
But I still don't think this game is going to top any charts for refunds.
(And because I was so in the mood to play Starfield and couldn't, I decided to replay Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 and I had forgotten how much I love those games, so even though I was disappointed, there is at least a silver lining!)
