Mantis invisibility stopped working

I have the full Mantis outfit equipped but suddenly I no longer turn invisible when crouched. There was no in-game warning or anything so I am not sure why it just stopped working.

I understand that the invisibility feature depends on a dice roll, and that other features might be possible such as inferno in place of invisibility. But in my case the Mantis gear had the invisibility perk.

it's because you are missing the chameleon modifier that was on your previous armor, as the armor is completely randomized, you might get chameleon on all parts (helm, suit, booster) or not at all.

small thing i discovered, saving before you pick up the mantis armor set, allows you to reload and reroll the modifiers untill you get the ones you want. (for me it did)

But the chameleon feature worked just fine, until suddenly it didn't. My Mantis suit does have the chameleon mod, it just stopped working and I can't figure out why.

I mean, the suit doesn't randomly change mods on it's own after I already picked it up or does it?!

To be sure, I didn't reload or replay the mission to pick up the suit again. I only did it once and it has the chameleon perk.

The stealth just stopped working.

Same issue, it worked fine and then it didn't. It works with the starborn armor still. Not sure what happened.

im having the exact same issue. chameleon was working just fine, i could crouch in front of people and become hidden, now no matter what i remain detectable despite having the chameleon perk and even using chameleon gear
