the game doesn't mark me the active mission

As the title suggests, whatever the active mission is, the game shows me another one and for example on New Atlantis it shows me many more but in no case ever mine, the only way is to activate the scanner with the F key and look the arrows on the ground without running otherwise they disappear and I have to close and reopen the scanner, but even in this case I can only follow the main one and I have no idea where to find or how to do the optional missions. I've already checked the files, I've been playing since September 1st and it never worked, but due to not being able to do the optionals the missions are only passive for the money. Does anyone know how to fix the missions problem? Thank you.

GO into your mission log and change it to only show active mission.

You hit the key on the Mission log that enables showing all mission objectives instead of just the active one.

I did it too. As Jaggid Edje said, it's a quick and easy fix.

The moment you take a mission, it will say "Hold L to make active." doing that marks it as active, if you miss the chance. Just hit L and go into your missions and click it to make it active.

It does, just the User Interface is kinda bad (or how to say it politely, it's not good), much clicks to get to stuff and press and hold buttons until reacts slowly, and things are hidden under other stuff, and you have to hover cursors over areas to show up, and made for controller/console, so good luck finding how to do it and what is activated and what isn't.

So the see active mission, press L (and also hold? for how long), but may not react at all, depends where you are and so on. In that case press Tab and keep pressing or holding it until goes into that horrible center UI which is the hub for most things. Now move cursor to bottom, and Quests (or similar word, don't have the game started at moment) word will show up. Left click it to see Missions/Quests/Etc. See which one has light blue on the left side of title, that is the active one. You can select another, only one can be "blue" marked. Your click may not work if have to expand list first. May be buggy so more clicks needed.

In the end somehow is true, I don't think it's always displayed. Most things shows up and works only in F mode (scanner mode), but you can't use your weapons in that mode, so yeah, so much fun, fighting the UI. Could be worse, true, but still sux big time. Have fun clicking and checking it every now and then.

Thanks, now I see where my mission is going at least, I'll have to give up on the electives, I'm especially sorry for the economic loss but oh well, I'll be the poorest hero in history.

Some of the missions require you to select the individual 'electives' for those to highlight. Most don't, but some do.

The ones that don't always just mark them all, for me at least, so if that's not happening open your log and see if you can select the individual parts.

in one he tells me to connect to the computer to lower the size, but if I don't know which computer I have to connect to, I certainly can't complete it. Unfortunately now I have to find some components to not pay over 12,000 credits (I only know 20,000 and I'm at level 15 with over 31 hours of play) so I'll try to see if it can tell me where these components are otherwise more money spent without reimbursement of expenses.. .
