Mods took down my original post. I am not sure why, cause I never said anything inflammatory. I made my solid case why "dismantling whytness" was a good thing and explained the practices in DEI like DiEQ (Diversity & Equity)

Bethesda openly reduced the amount of "White Male" looking characters in the game for a reason. It's because they have been overly represented in games for the past 40+ years. DEI practices calls for the exclusion of them in order to have inclusion of other groups.

This is not something new. This is the University I went to, and I am now an HR DEI trainer.

How is it bait? No one is denying that "whyte male" npcs are not represented in the story line. Trolls are gong on the forums arguing that it's racist. I am defending Bethesda and saying it's not. It's common practice at any company.

I don't understand why anyone cares what race is in the game. If it's a good game it's a good game. If you found the best space rpg out there and all of the NPC were PoCs (people of color) would you be upset?

keep politics out of games, at the end of the day its just another bethesda game with all the same problems their flagship tittles tend to have and they will probably only update enough that its playable and then leave the rest up to modders

They are so indoctrinated that they don't even know who they are, or what they say. They just memorized what they are told to say, and regurgitate it.

The entire movement breaks down every single member into an "identity". They are not individuals. They have no characteristics that matter outside of their birth characteristics, or because many are narcissists, or just attention seekers. They MAKE UP a completely obnoxious identity to get as much attention as possible, and then LARP it. They are rewarded with love bombing by the "movement". Only after they have already been broken down by negative reinforcement to make them afraid to speak their own minds.

I slightly agree with this, but I do believe there is a time and place to bring Diversity Equity & Inclusion into a game or any media entertainment for that matter. Games are for fun, but it's also a way to help progress society and if they can someone how reach just one right winger who is transphobic to see it from a different side and change, then that is a win for everyone.

Progress in games should be about giving more options to the player/customer, not taking options away.
